Userid element displays all

Hello to all. I am using the userid element in order to register the username of the joomla user so that I can filter the data.
And record who is sending the data.
The problem is that all the usernames present are displayed to the user, and not just his by default .. So by mistake the user could select another user instead of his own.
At the moment to solve the problem I have "hidden" the field so as not to make it visible to the user who fills in the form. But it is useful for me to make it visible so that whoever sends the data realizes that this data is recorded.
How can I make sure that only the user of who is going to send the data is displayed in the userid field?

Yes, you should set the user element to "hidden".
If you need to inform users not only generally in your privacy policy that you're storing their data etc, but again also in this form, you may want to consider e.g. adding a note into this form's intro.

You can change the element access settings and remove add/edit access.
