Whole site hangs when I install Fabrik

I have tested fabrik 3.0.8 on a Joomla 2.5.11 site and set up a good list and it all seems to work fine.
So I thought I would move it to my production site.
I unstalled Fabrik again on Joomla 2.5.11 site.

This site then stopped working completely, the front end gives a blank page and the admin area hangs and does nothing. Had to disable fabrik using phpadmin to get site working again.
Uninstalled and tried again and admin area worked but entering Components > Fabrik gave an error msg suggesting fabrik comonent not enabled. Checked all extensions called fabrik and they are enabled as my test site.
Both sites running in same host account and domain (different sub domains)

any ideas would be most welcome.

PS both site are running CB, Eyesite, Aleeba Backup, Second site also has kunena forum and JSN Uniform
All extensions are up to date.

I had the same problem today... deleted every fabrik directories to get site back, succeeded.
I do not dare to install Fabrik anymore.

Fabrik3.0.8 and Joomla2.5.11 are out of date

Sorry, I did not mention the versions:

Kunena 3.0.3
Joomla! 2.5.16
Fabrik3.0.9
Akeeba Backup Professional 3.9.1
Admin Tools version 2.5.10

When I press the install button ... the screen goes blank....
Just tested in my own test-bed, same happened
