We have now opened a commercial services section here on the forum for registered users. If you have a Fabrik project that you wish to have someone work on for you, post it under Help Wanted. If you are an application developer and wish to earn some money helping others, post your details under Fabrik Application Developers.
Both of these are unmoderated. It will be up to both parties to work out the details and come to an agreement.
For running J!5.1 you must https://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?wiki/update-from-github/ or include the new file manually https://fabrikar.com/forums/index.php?threads/joomla-5-1-and-fabrik-cannot-find-files-error.54473/post-285151 See also Announcements
This is too funny.probably when Hugh or I need it, or someone pays us to do it to be honest The way things are at the moment there is little free time to embark on this type of work just for the fun of it (I have a feeling its going to be quiet complex to implement well, test etc)
Sorry, but can you PM me how much it cost and how long it takes to develop it?
This is too funny.
So if the user plugin does not work with changes made since Joomla 1.6, then why even include it in the 3.0 package (until it does)? Or at least put a check during the install of the plugin so that it cannot be installed on Joomla 1.6+. (You do know you can check what version of Joomla is being run? LOL)
It works for me! I am very happy with the results...
Sometimes I thing you guys just like to aggravate your users. aggravate users? This is open source... contribute... make it happen with a contribution... they are more than willing to accept a solution produced by others for a user need...
And so now you?re trying to bribe us into finding the time to do it? Bribe? Should it not be viewed as services rendered? In this case it, Rob's statement is more like who else would like this as a priority... If so can you offer us some resources so we can put this as a priority and for us to apply a dedicated effort (maybe pay someone else to help with this or other coding changes). Are they here to cater to an individual's need or the over all community? It's pretty simple to understand that with limited resources... (these guys are here nearly 16-20 hours a day 7 days a week) not all things are going to get done immediately. There has to a be a priority list. They try to accommodate needs that seem to be a priority for the overall product. They are on a treadmill of maintenance of a new implementation on a foundation that is ever changing in Joomla. Cut them some slack... offer solutions instead of ridicule...
Having $$$ is going to suddenly magically create the time needed? Either you have the time or you don?t. That is the issue... resources are scarce... simple! This silly notion that you must drop all other development to cater only to your paying customers is going to be your ruin. Something has to be dropped if you are already maxed out with what you are juggling... what is so hard to understand about that notion? I think your complaint should be turned in to a challenge or call for resources to help out... not condemn... Can you contribute? Do you have some coding skills? Could you provide resources to allow another coder to join the project? These two have dedicated themselves to this project. It is something that will save others money if they learn and contribute to its success. It can replace products many have already paid for but in most cases those products do not fit their needs and end up paying someone to hack the core of the paid products. This on the other hand allows you to develop an application within the framework of joomla that is transparent to the user. No link backs... no subscription fees, no ads....
Did you ever think of the scores of other potential new customers who are turned off by the quirks and bugs that you let slide in the meantime? Again contribute! This is open source... it will work only with contributions meaning get to contributing, Test it, learn it, provide coding to help provide solutions, document it and improve it. Obvious there are limited resources and something has to determine the work queue. I think the majority understand this concept and accept that there are limited resources and it will take time unless more resources are applied. Which could be money to hire!
Hi hugh, i need to be able to add user (multiple groups)
