date_time field is always 0000-00-00 00:00:00

It's this commit
fixed empty dates were being incorrectly set when in form view

But I think it was working yesterday evening

I still need to see the exact options, as every option changes the path through that code, and I could waste an hour tracking this if I don't have exactly the same setup.
