Element Primary Key on new entry is '0'

Hello,

i have a list with about 300 entrys that i have imported over a csv. The primary key is a code with 7 numbers. The field is formated as INT(7). Auto increment is off. All imported entrys are fine and editable!
Now my problem:
Every time i add a new entry the code i enter in the form will be replaced by '0' and i have to go to phpMyAdmin to correct this. I tried already shorter codes... same problem! On save the code is replaced by '0'. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks a lot for help!

Frank

What are the fabrik settings:
list: this element selected as PK?
element: which element type (plugin) did you choose, which settings?

Unfortunately, we don't really support anything but integer, auto-inc PK's at the moment. We kinda-sorta do, for purposes of CSV import, but that really only works for "read only" lists, where you only ever import external data, and won't then be adding new rows from within Fabrik.

It's something we're looking at addressing in 3.1, but haven't changed as yet.

@troester: yes, PK in list and field plugin in element with INT(7).

@cheesegrits: do i understand you right, that i can't use a own integer as PK and that i can only use the element 'internalid' as PK when i want to add entrys within fabrik? And that i can use own integers only as PK when i import the entrys by csv?

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
