When I excport list to CSV Excel i get strange carakters instead of letters ?????.

What hapens?????

Hi, sounds like an encoding issue.
Are you using the latest code from github or the 3.1rc2 release?
could you point me at the list you are exporting from, and fill in the site details in http://fabrikar.com/you/my-sites/ please?

this comes down to an encoding issue,
If you update from github I have added an encoding option into the list's csv settings, select 'uft-8' then save the list, then try exporting to csv I believe this should work (it does in Open Office I don't have Excel to test)

What language is that? And did you try the UTF-16LE option?

Yes i tray, Its Croatian language.

Can you tray export to CVS on my site, you can acces to my site.

I added those two strings to the 'test2' list - exported the attached csv file and imported in open office (with the import character set set to UFT-8) and it imported fine.

did you select the encoding option when importing into open office? Exel has cruddy encoding from csv import but open office should allow you to select uft-8 as the character encoding when importing a csv file

What Excel version are you using? I always had encoding problems when I import into the Mac version of Excel (2004). I use Open Office instead and it works fine because you can choose which encoding you want and have a preview of the result in the opening screen, so you can try different encodings until you find the right one.

For a client today , I had to use the export CSV to Excel function (Windows version - Office 2013) and it works fine. Be sure to choose "Excel CSV" and "UTF16LE" encoding in the settings.
Tested on Joomla 3.2.2 + latest GitHub fabrik 3.1
