Fabrik Throwing Error on Search

When I perform a search on a list, I get this error and it persists, even if I try to leave and go back to the page.

Fabrik has generated an incorrect query for the list Contacts: <br />

Fabrik 3.8.1
Joomla 3.8.12

When I turn on debugging, I get:
Fabrik has generated an incorrect query for the list Contacts: <br /><br /><pre>Can't find FULLTEXT index matching the column list</pre>

Hmmm, it shouldn't need a FULLTEXT index. It's slower without, but should work.

What are you exact search settings, and what elements (field types, like 'field') are you searching on?

I presume this is the enhanced search all, using the boolean searching (contains any, contains all, etc)?
