FileUpload blank when updating record

I have a database that uses the file upload and it works fine. When I go to edit the record it does not pull in the file information. When I go to save the update to the record it is asking me to upload the file again. How can I fix that?

Not sure what you mean by "it does not pull in the file information" and "asking me to upload".

I tried logging in to your site, but the username you gave in My Sites doesn't work.

Not sure whether it could be related, but I noticed today that all fileupload elements that were stored in a list which was AJAXified actually emptied the file information when the record was updated.
Turned off Ajaxify in Navigation and Ajaxify Links under Links in all Lists and I was able to update records without loosing the uploaded doc.
This affected lists that I didn't touch for long before.

Are the upload elements themselves using AJAX uploading, or regular uploading?

Ajax Upload is and was off.
