Form Sessions table will not export

I'm trying to backup a db so I can update Fabrik but the fabrik_form_sessions table will not export.

Is it OK to empty this table on a production site?

Please clue me in on what are some possible causes of the fabrik_form_sessions being to big to export via phpMyAdmin. This is a problem I've never encountered before.

No idea why #_fabrik_form_sessions won't be exported (any error messages?)

It is used to store form session data if you have forms set to "Save partially completed multi-page forms" (storing user input as long as the user doesn't hit "Save").

So it shouldn't matter if you are starting with an empty #_fabrik_form_sessions on a new site.
But if there is really "pending" input on partially completed forms this will be lost.

I get this error message in phpMyAdmin when I go to Export:

This interface does not work with large databases or large tables. Please see phpMyAdmin bug 4046.

"Save partially completed multi-page forms" is set to No.
Since this is a production site can I safely empty #_fabrik_form_sessions?

So all this is trying to add to your form with ID=2.
Is this the form you are referring to?

That is correct Form ID = 2.
Form IS set to "Save partially completed multi-page forms" = No
There were spam records added to the list but not in the last 2 days since I added the captcha element. Those records did not match the spam in form_sessions.

In addition to using the fabrik_form_sessions to save form state for multipage forms, we also use the session table for storing state during failed validations, and some other usage, like in the confirmation plugin.

Looks like you have a spambot hitting you with link spam. Not much you can do about that other than what you've done, using CAPTCHA (this is exactly what CAPTCHA was invented to prevent), or by restricting access using ACL's, so only logged on users can see it.

So I guess what's happening is because the validation failure never gets corrected and the form is never re-submitted, the session data never gets cleared for it, and the table just keeps growing. Usually, we'd remove that session data when the user corrected the validation problem, and the form re-submitted correctly.

To prevent this kind of scenario, we should probably add a global option in Fabrik to set a ttl (time to live) for the form sessions, defaulting to (say) 7 days, and have Fabrik just garbage collect the table, automatically removing entries older than that.
