PDF print error (solved)

Joomla 3.2 / Fabrik 3.1 with latest Github / DOMPDF 0.6.0 beta 3

I can't find a way to get the PDF printing to work:
In the form I have enabled the print PDF button but I get: "Failed to load PDF document"

The (frontend) link that gets used: http://ducarbo.zebrahosting.info/rapport1/details/1/13/pdf?format=pdf

I have tried with and without URL rewriting. The WIKI has no extra info than "Todo".

What steps to check / take to get this working?

I've tested with: Joomla3.1.6, Joomla3.2, list/form/details directly and in content plugin, SEF on and off
all is working on my site.

Are you using details view in an article?
Did you try with SEF off? (Are you using Joomla SEF or 3rd party?)
Did you try with standard Joomla protostar template?

Don't know why it is trying to open a PDF anyway, with my browser settings it should ask.

Hmm. If you look at the 'Response' tab in Firebug, it seems to be returning an incomplete HTML formatted detail view, with the start of the page truncated.

Looks like another bug in DOMPDF.

Can you try a PDF view of a really simple test form, with just one or two field element, on the same site, see if that works?

Tested this also with the clean 3.16 site and error still the same. Failed to load PDF document. Can't find any reason in firebug.

this might be due to a router issue I just fixed, could you update and test if things now work?

Hi Rob,

Some tests:
http://zuidwijk.zebrahosting.info/aanvragen
J3.16 site with standard template: Still the same error. Grey page with doc error.
Tried both front and backend, logged in as SA. Also compared URL redirect on/off but no diff.

http://ducarbo.zebrahosting.info/pdftest/ and http://ducarbo.zebrahosting.info/aanvragen/bekijken
Strange enough did this J3.2 site a little better. I don't get an error page but it waits a little and then the page refreshes but nothing comes up as PDF.
The only issue I see in the console is a FONT issue but when I switch to standard template it still behaves the same.
In the PDFtest list the buttons jump away so something in the template comes back incomplete.

Both sites are in 'my sites' profile where you will find the login....

But indeed switching off the debugging made it work again on the J3.2 site. On the J3.16 site it also started working now. I am sure I emptied the caches but I guess Fabrik uses iets own?

Great to see it work. Thanks again.

We are in need of some funding.
More details.

Thank you.
